Default clutch cable ?

A co-worker of mine has an 01 Roadking and needs a clutch cable. I happen to have my stock cable off my 08, laying around that I was going to give him. I know the length is the same but Harley lists part #s that have one digit difference.
Does anyone know if the 08 cable will fit the 01?

Default clutch cable

I just ordered a clutch cable for my 08 the difference is the travel , the length of the cable exposed when the adjuster is screwed all the way in, older models were like 3 inches , newer 3.5 inches . Might work if the adjuster will adjust out enough slack.

The differences are due to the 6 speed and also it is different at the perch as they changed how it is connected with the white thingy
