Default Clutch Cable lubrication 08 EGS

What is the secret to lubricating the clutch cable that the dealer won't tell.I want to do my own.Thanks

Back the cable off all the way, remove the cable from the clutch handle, pull the outer housing to seperate the cable at the adjuster, put some cable lube(can be bought at any motorcycle shop, even bicycle shops carry it) down the bottom part of the cable. Then put some lube down the upper part of the cable. Re-install the cable to the handle(you can also check the adjustment of the clutch before you take the slack out of the cable. Take the slack out of the cable, leave about 1/8th inch of slack in the cable. Pull the outer housing away from the clutch handle bracket, you should just be able to put a nickle in there if it is right. Don't forget to tighten down the lock nut on the adjuster. Hope this helps.

Don't over tighten the nut on the adjuster. Brake that, & you get to install a new cable...
