I went a long time trying to find what I wanted, deep throaty, rumble. You can still hear the radio and your passenger. These are the best sounding I have heard!!
I ordered Rinehart slip-ons for my bike. I will probably put the stock mufflers back on and remap the PC-V when I take my trip from Ct to Tx this year, just to aviod any leo issues.

Tried to check them out, but the link to hear them was broken. I'll look to find them elsewhere, but thanks for the suggestion. These are ones I've not looked at.
Now here is the question for you Jamie... Was this test when NEW or after a certain amount of miles. I really did like the Jackpots, at first. But after 3000+ miles they seem to have become too loud.
I really really am behind the idea of the 'tuned' left muffler, too. Just seems the packing kinda likes to wear out/in on ANY glass pack. These seem to be the BEST glass pack that I have ever owned, also. NO deceleration popping or any of that.
The Jackpot mufflers we use for testing whether it dB sound testing, dyno testing or otherwise are "well used" and would be a good representation of what one could expect after the exhaust packing sets in which usually takes about 50 miles. The German Silent Sport Premium packing we use is very unique as it is not a matting it is actually a loose fill material. Although very expensive it offers unsurpassed durability over anything on the market by a large margin, several OE's use this in their factory exhaust systems. We have been using this product for several years and used it widely before we starting making Jackpot mufflers and were greatly impressed with the results. We have also inspected several Jackpot mufflers with 30,000+ miles with no signifigant loss of packing material. We offer a lifetime warranty as well, if ever you inspect the baffle and feel it needs extra material simply give us a call.
I will also comment on sound level which I know is very subjective. We try to have as much info available to help our customers decide which exhaust would work best for them. What is loud to one may be too quiet to another, and this is what we work with every day. Our Jackpot Dyno Tuned muffler design was based on what we have seen most FL customers were looking for and this is by far our best selling muffler. However if you get them and they are a bit too quiet or a bit too loud just let us know, we are the manufacturer and can build you a primary baffle to suit your liking. The replacement baffle is $39.00 and comes with new packing material.
well I went with a pair of V&H old slashcut down. They have good sound with the stock head pipe. I got them on a open housue day at the dealer. 300+tax. I like the idea of being able to pull the guts and repack them. If I don't like them after a few miles then I'm not out much.
Just installed the B & E Performance "Max 2" re-cored OEM mufflers and took a little ride. I am very impressed. After spending hundreds of dollars on exhausts over several years and motorcycles and using almost all of the major brands at one time or another I must say...these re-worked mufflers sound unbelieveably good. There've been many times (too many!)when a much anticipated pipe has sounded less than stellar. These are not too loud, real deep, "just right". They look "new" too. Couldn't be happier...and only $125.00 too..what a deal!
