Not so good. Mine had a lot of noise interference and wasn't so clear at highway speeds. Luckily I also had MP3 capabilities in my older 660. Perfect sound!

I own the Nuvi 660 and don't even use the FM transmitter in the car. To use it, you need to tune into a dead station and if you're travelling, that dead station gets static and needs to be changed. Besides, using the transmitter prevents using the radio for music (unless the music is stored on the Nuvi). I have a hard time hearing the Nuvi on my bike and you basically can't (hear) at anything approaching highway speeds.

I use the Nuvi 200. Cheap and does everything the Zumo does...in regards to navigation. Works fine on the bike.

Default Garmin

I see you have an 08 Ultra. You should be able to just plug into your bike radio system. I use my Garmin 780 ALL the time. I have it mounted in a Ram mount (weather protected). I have mine plugged into my bike and don't have to worry about stactic. It is easy to use for navigation, MP3, MSN, and I can even hear my phone calls(blue tooth). I may not be able to answer them, but I would prefer stopping for my phone calls anyways. Most of the time it is just the wife telling me I have been out too long. You know it is funny, most of the time when my wife calls there is sooo much static I can't understand her. Funny how that works........:-)
