Question dumb question?

Ok, I'm ready to do my 1,000mi service and the manual is calling for different oz. for wet or dry primary. 38 for wet and 45 for dry. Am I correct in sayin' a wet is supplied by the crankcase oil and a dry has it's own reservoir? Vtwins have a wet system right?

The amount wet is for when you just drain it using the drain plug. The amount dry would be if you had the primary cover off and refilled it.

That's correct. Dry would be after disassembly, cleaned, wiped down and assemblied.
