You're taller than me and it works for you? Do you sit way forward or back? I sit fairly straight up and seriously cannot take the beating this shield gives me. I'm 6'2"...

I have a Corbin Classic Solo seat which probably sits me a little lower and farther back than you do. If I had it to do over again I would go 1" taller.

Good riding!
There is more going on here than just the shield vibrating. When the screen starts to shake, which it does pretty much anywhere below 2800 rpm, it causes a wave like action that induces it's own buffeting. You can prove this to yourself by riding in high gear at about 2500 rpm or so when it is vibrating strongly and then grab the top of the screen. You'll notice an immediate reduction in helmet buffeting. This is the same thing that happens as you increase speed and get above the rpm range that induces the vibration. The vibration is actually coming off of the fairing itself. In order to reduce this effect I made a couple of stays that go from the inner fairing up to the outer corners of the screen. This took care of almost all the vibration and the induced buffeting.

Second day with the 9" SCC and I enjoyed it more even though it was still windy as a biz-nitch. I learned something today too... I miss the ol' wind in the grill like I had when I rode my Dyna. It was a rush more than an irritation. It wasn't as bad as no shield cause when I lifted my self up I got the full treatment. However I think I can get used to this w/s. I'm gonna let a few more rides tell the tale. I got a Veterans run this Saturday so that will be a good time to really get the full experience.

Baileys SSC's are the best. Had clear on for a couple of years and just put on a dark gray on a black ultra. looks sharp. 5'10" with a mustang seat and I bought the 12". Had a 15" with the road zep seat and it was fine. with the mustang, 15" was at eye level for me and it drove me crazy. Bought a 10" and it was a bit too short. Anyone care to buy a clear shield cheap?

Default Harley Windshield search

I just did a 600 mile weekend with the Cee Bailey. It was the black SSC 10". It didn't impress me. The wind is still getting to me. I had to keep my music on full to hear it and my ears rang for 3 days from the wind noise (and loud tunes). I am only 5'8" and sit on a low seat with my 04 Ultra. I expected better. The thing also vibrated real bad at RPMs under 2500. You get use to it but it is still annoying. Being a solid color you can't see through it at all and going taller won't work. Maybe a 12" clear one? The curve will probably ruin your vision though looking through it. I sold it the first day on craigslist locally. It was time to let someone else get an opinion out. I am still looking. I already tried the Windvest and had issues with that too. It cracked while installing (yes I did have it positioned right) and the color was bronze, not smoke (grey). They did take it back and give me a credit but it still cost me $20 shipping to see it was not what I expected again. I like the idea of the flare at the top. I am hoping to find one like that made out of lexan that has strenght I am comfortable with.

i have a Cee Bailys 12 inch black on my bike and like the previous post i wasn't very impressed, still had a lot of buffering/wind around the head area,( i know its a motorcyle and not a car) this past weekend i put a fork baffle on it and it really improved the wind flow a lot around the head area, it blocks all of the wind coming from in front of the tank, i was thinking that beacuse the windshield is curved and closer to the rider the wind coming from below was funneling up under the windshield and hitting me in the face area right up under my glasses and helmet ,the baffle fixed that problem. just my .02 worth

Do you have two of those braces on there? Like to see another shot of that.
