Well, I got to take a long ride with my 12" SSC, on a very windy day, and got beat around pretty good. The shield does well cruising around, like my rides to work this week. On the highway though, the jury is still out. I love the look, and everyone who's seen it has commented the same, but being vane doesn't replace comfort in my book. I guess my next attempt will be a Clearview Recurve, as many on here have said they work well also!
Ditto to Kowalski's comment above about the fork baffle. I did tell a difference after adding mine.
Okay, I've ridden with this 9" SCC and I gotta take it off. I hate the vibration. I should have gotten a regular 6" WS which I just ordered from http://www.fastaire.com/index.html that is solid black. I heard Klock Werks sux so I'm not even going there. I loved Cee Baily's service but I don't like the SCC WS. I just bought this 6" WS for $24 plus $10 shipping. Check out his site. I should be getting it in tomorrow. Be sure to read how they got started.
I got my 12 inch Thursday. Rode about 75 Miles with it Saturday. As I said I had the stock 4 inch on my SG. This is my first aftermarket shield. I think this shield does exactly what it suppose to do. The wind at 75 MPH was directed just at the top of my helmet. My Tunes were easier to hear. And the look is awesome.
I think for the price Cee-Baileys charges, you absolutely get more then your moneys worth after you compare the price of a Klock-Werks. At $100 a guy could almost afford one in a couple sizes....
That said, I ordered Black. I was not sure if it was solid black, or tinted Black. For anyone curious, the black is solid black you cannot see through it. I like the look, but I think I might have been as happy with a Dark Smoke too. I am 5-10 the 12 inch is ok I would say almost to high for me in the black, as I lost some near front visability with the black, but I think an 11inch would be perfect in my case riding the stock seat.
At the end of the day I am happy with it, would buy from them again, and like this product allot.
Marc, great idea. Very nicely done. Would like an overall picture of the brace(s) like maybe taken from the rear seat looking forward to see all the front of the inner fairing... Thanks
