Is there any forum members in Conn. that have the monster ovals with the true duals on their bike? I like the looks but need to make certain that they are not loud. Currently have the Basics on my Ultra and they are extremely loud. Would appreciate all replies!
Lenny, I just put the Monster Ovals on My bike a week ago and I can't be any more happier. It's only a few decibels louder than stock but those few decibels are a good low rumbly tone that makes the difference. I can't take really loud noise due to ear damage from being in Iraq, But these are perfect! When you get on the throttle the Monster Ovals has a strong growl that will make you feel like you have a beast under you...but won't make you think walls are crumbling down like alot of pipes will make you think!
I Think you're making a great just. IMHO

In the March issue of Cycle World they tested and evaluated the V&H Monster Ovals - and they loved them. The before and after dyno results showed that the pipes provided a decent improvement in HP and Torque, and they reviewers really dug the sound.
Based on that article and the recommendations this this forum I'm going with the MO's for my Ultra - I just need to wait a bit and see if the economy improves enough to lay out that kind of coin...I also want to add the K&N and PCV from Fuel Moto.
Agree with what has been said about the monster ovals totally. My tastes are that i wish they were little louder, but that just me.I may be adding some big city baffles to the headers to pick it up some.Dont know if anyone has tried it with theirs yet.
