Default New Hogtunes PNP Amp Kit

I see where Hogtunes has a new PNP Amp kit with two speakers on their website indicating COMING SOON. Anyone know anything about it or its price and availability...

blueflht...do you ever stop parading through the forum plugging firecap501? I have no problem with Wayne but it sure gets old with you jumping into every single audio thread posting the same old "hollar at firecap501 for his arc system". It's getting real old if you know what I mean?

I also saw a post yesterday in another thread regarding D Class amplifiers and someone stating something about they run real hot? Fact is Class D & UcD Class amplifiers are the opposite from A/B Class amps and they are to coolest running amps on the market today! In fact, the Arc amplifier you keep plugging here on HDF was recently tested by an independent audio lab who tests new products for major electronics firms who want to see reports on their competitions product, and that ARC amplifier reportedly went thermal in under 8 minutes in a standard lab test. That's of major concern when someone goes and mounts it in an enclosed fairing.

Enough said!

actually i have never received anything but good conversation from wayne. i think its improper to imply im recieving anything from wayne i enjoy helping a new entrepenuer out and hate to see people waste their money on overpriced and underpowered units because of the "plug and play feature"
as for the arc amps going "thermal" i find this unlikely as they have thermal overload protection. i would say if arcs are the choice of foose being installed in megabucks cars they must be pretty good.
as for the hollar part its from being southern and i wont apologize for that

gascan i dont know what you have in your bike but for conversation sake hog tunes doesnt give the classification of its amp so i cant say what it is . i can say it puts out a whopping 24 watts rms per channel. factory speakers are aproxx 15 watts per channel rms hawg wired is a class t amp pushing 75 watts per channel rms but at 575$ it is 1 of the most expensive on the market
if you read the thread he asked for opinions and i gave mine. i also gave an alternative as some dont know there are choices

That plug and play product you slammed as being overpricd and underpowered was developed for the addition of a rear speakers in a dresser bike and nothing more, and in fact is very affordably priced for what it is. Perhaps before you go slamming Hogtunes, you should go and see what his new offering is rather than base your statements on uninformed assumptions.

Might also help you to know that Pez @ Hogtunes used to be the VP of Rockford Fosgate Canada (Amplifier Mfg.) for a number of years and he knows far more than many in the audio industry today. He's sent his people to the Arc Factory in China where they looked at some of the Arc products being made, engineers his own products in house, and is an upstanding business professional in the mobile audio market throughout North America. He also knows Robert Zeff quite well who actually designed the Arc mini amp. Want to know whats behind an amplifier or a speaker, then call and pick the brain of a guy like this and you'll come to respect them very quickly.

The fact that you doubt the Arc Mini going thermal in a published industry report only goes to show you know little of the market itself. Again blue, I have no problem supporting Wayne and also like to see an aspiring Entrepeneur succeed, but it doesn't need to come at the expense of slamming another product in an open forum when there are many here who compete in this market and have supported product sales for many years. (i.e Hogtunes)

In my opinion, there are many excellent products out there including the Arc products, but many have their limitations or their own unique querks. I've run some big systems in my bikes and that of my friends, and recently completed another install of a 360 watt system in my 09 using UcD class products. Yes they are sometimes more expensive, but that doesn't go to say that something for less is better?

There are numerous vendors here that do a great job of supporting their customers and Firecap could be considered one of them, but not the only one! Trust me...the more you slam his name in all the posts, the quicker the mods will can that approach. Walk softly and carry a big stick is a better way of marketing a product in a forum. People do take notice.

i havent seen the published report only your say so. as for the hog amp it is the only one on the hogtunes website. i went to the pdf files and only reported their specs. since they dont say what class amp it is i cant say. it appear that the amp is the same for the repacement speakers in the front OR the rear speakers. imo it is to much to pay 339$ for a small amp and 2 45 watt speakers again thats my opinion
as for pez i have never said anythig derogatory about him. many speak highly of him. .

blueflht, you would be more help here and to Wayne by not rejecting out of hand a new product for which no specs have been published and no firsthand experience has been reported; that just makes you look stupid, and, by association, Wayne.

As for PEZ, can't say that you have flamed him directly, only his speakers:

Your post, #10 in the link: "[i]t is so nice to see someone has finally looked beyond the junk that hogtunes and jm sells! (emphasis supplied).

As for the "blue sent ya," if it's a "southern thing" it's not widespread in the South where I've lived and worked for 35 years.
