Big job I hear, got a manual, lift, lots of tools? If I remember right you do need a special tool for something. Try to search the net, maybe more help there. The Service Manual should tell you a lot.

Let us know how it goes.

Do a search here in the forums. I asked the same question in December and got a lot of good advice.

fork oil, new fork seals and new crush washers for the bottom drain holes should do it. You need to either obtain a fork seal driver or use PVC pipe like most have done here to drive the seals in place. I split the 1 1/2" pvc pipe lengthwise and drove the seals with that, but afterwards I saw where someone made a driver out of a pvc coupler that looked like it might work better.

certainly not a big job at all, it's a simple do it yourself job. There is lots of information here in the forums and the manual explains it very clearly

You'll need 2 new fork oil seals and something to install them (piece of 1 1/2" pv), fork oil (go with heavier SE), good measuring cup oz/ml, depends how many miles might want to do bushings, loctite, 6mm hex for bottom of fork leg, crush washers for drain plugs, service manual. Not hard, just take your time. I removed mine from triple tree when I did them last year and had both done and reinstalled in 1/2 day along with some other work I was doing. Make sure oil seal seats all the way and retaining clip seats fully in inner groove. Don't overfill.

Agreed on the heavier fork oil. Ride is not quite as plush as from the factory...but heavier oil will cut down on front-end dive in hard braking, and gives an all around more stable feel in my opinion.

Easy job. 2-3 hours if you have any wrenching skills at all
