When we get better weather here in Wisconsin we will be doing a range of videos as well as a series of static and dynamic dB tests. We appreciate all of your comments and feedback on our mufflers and as I have always stated customer input played a large part when we were releasing them.
The weather is getting better and it would be nice to see & hear some clips before you get to busy to do it.
I have a different reason for ordering MO's. I plan on putting an FLHX rear fender extension on my Road Glide and I had originally thought I would have to add bag extensions to balance it out. After seeing the MO's, I realized they would do the trick and I would be killing two birds for $600.
I see FUELMOTO has put a new Jackpot video on their web-site to give buyers an idea of how they sound on the open road. I did get an idea of how they might sound, (I appreciate their effort) but the sound of the wind drowned out the sound of the pipes. If they could remake the video with less wind noise that would be awesom.
I have the MO. Tips flaked chrome and got new ones, did that w/in three months of purchase. Tips also stick out about two to three inches beyond saddle bag. Some may not like that. I was disappointed to see the chrome cover not go completely around pipes...which I expected for the price, but you don't notice that unless you get under bike. Sound is great imho. I had some pre '05 SE not street legal pipes and they were too loud for me. The MOs have good rumble, but won't leave your ears ringing after a 500 mile ride. Email me if you'd like to see the tips w/flaking chrome...same photos I sent V&H.
My brother has 09 ultra with MO.
I have 06 ultra with rush mufflers and jackpot
dyno tuned baffels.
Mine is louder than his.
I wont comment on looks, as you asked about sound.
I'm running Vance and Hines Dresser Duals w/Monster Ovals on my 08 Ultra. Stage 1 with Fuelpack, using the latest map.
Bike has never ran or sounded better than it does right now. Nice deep rumble, but not harsh at highways speeds. I'm only having to use about 2/3 the volume on my stereo that I used to.
The new map has completely done away with the decel popping I used to have with the Big Shot Duals.
