Sorry I have to ask this in a new thread. I just cant make up my da*n mind. I was dead set on monster ovals, but the price got me a little discouraged. I am thinking of ordering a power package from fuel moto with the dyno tuned jackpot mufflers, but think that the looks and possibly the sound of the MO's would be better. Problem is, I havent seen either of them or heard either in person. Any input from you guys who have seen and heard them in person would be great, dont know if its worth an extra 250 bucks for the monster ovals.
I just got my bike running after big bore kits cam PC III and Monster Ovals!!!!!!
2006 ultra classic !!!!! I bought these MO here on the forum the guy thouht they were to load !!!!! I think they are the best sounding muffler ever!!!!!!
Give me a email and I can send you a sound clip!!!!
I got the SE A/C, PC-V, and Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers from Fuelmoto on Tuesday for 709 delivered, in record time, to my door. I looked at the SE and MO slip ons and felt the MOs looked the best but that money is nuts.
I have no regrets, and they sound awesome. Like having a new bike. I dont think you can go wrong with any one of those three. My buddy has V&Hs basics, and he just keeps laughing at the fact that I researched this forum and bought mufflers based on results found in my searches. He is like what the hell is the name of that place again? LMAO.
I will use the 250 or so difference on something else for the bike.
I'm exactly the same boat. I bought a package from Jamie for my '07 SG that I was very happy with, but I really like the looks of the MO's and Cycle World loved them too in their recent write-up. Some sounds clips would really help. I won't be hearing any bikes around Cleveland for a couple of months yet...

theres a really good video on youtube, a guy did an 8 minute ride along with the monster ovals on a 09 SG. check it out, helpful, but Im still not 100% on them. 100 bucks cheaper and that would be the route Id take.
I am looking at the same but the price difference is much more than 250. The price of the MO is about the same as the whole power package from FM. So I would say it is closer to 400-500 more since with the MO you will still need to get a PCV and Air.
Love the looks of big wide ovals on a bagger and even Kury is comming out with ovals called the Beast that look great but 500 more for the whole package...crazy.
I just emailed Jamie at FM yesterday to see if there was any way to get his dyno tuned baffels in the ovals or if he may be thinking about producing some dyno tuned ovals and sadly the answer was no.
I've got the MO's on my 08 RKC.I only have stage1 w/heavy breather.Took off the SE pipes and slipped on the MO's and off i went.No other mods.Just be aware that as good as they sound they are not very loud ,atleast to me they are kind of mellow but louder than stock. You definately wont be wakening any of your neighbors. That being said i'm planning to add the big city baffles the ones that go in the headers to see.Dont know if anyone has done this yet on theirs.I know someone here has said they were too loud for him which i dont understand how that can be.They do have a real nice deep tone.
The Dyno-Tuned Jackpots will undoubtedly perform better, are much cheaper, and should be quieter. That's the objective side. Subjectively, only you can decide what sounds and looks right for you. I personally don't like the size of the MO's and to me appear oversized and ungainly, but that's my preference. Certainly in a functional bang-for-the-buck competition the Jackpots win hands down, and only you can decide which muffler has the right look and the right sound.
I can tell you I bought my MO without hearing them. I did see that you tube video, but that does nothing. The MO are very mellow compared to Rhineharts. My neighbor across the street has them and they are loud. They get louder as the RPM's get up there. The MO's pretty much sound the same throughout the whole RPM range. Not much of a bark, more of a steady rumble, but not too loud where the radio can't be heard.
