Well im sold.. im gonna pull a bag lid and head to the paint store monday and see if we can make a match.. id take a side cover but since my scoot was crashed everything was replaced but the side covers and they really dont match ... Maybe ill re shoot them also... At least im not gonna be rushed at this, hell its gonna only be march next week ... I am in michigan LOL..
Oh ya went to a bike show today.. sumpin to do even though the show was so so.. I got home and got a letter from the state and next week im getting 25 bucks more a week for unenjoyment.. .... No review like at work and no one telling me i have a bad attitude ha ha...
With all the shine up front dosen't the sun bother you guys with the painted inners? I know just the gas cap lid drives me crazy sometimes with the reflections. But it does look bitchin though and why do we do it, cauze chicks dig it .
Well its 2pm in the afternoon and im letting my inner fairing and switch cap dry... Ive got some runs in the clear that ill have to wet sand out but i put enuff clear on it so it shouldnt be a problem.. I took the switch cap outside and held it up to the bike and the color match is great.. Tri coat can be fun .. I think since ive got some things going this weekend that ill just let it dry till next monday and then ill have at it with the wet paper and compound... I hate shooting clear and i used my touch up gun for the whole deal and im not used to a fairly big job with that gun.. Its gonna be ok though.. Ill have more pics nest week.. The wierd part is the brandywine is a fire red base with a tinted clear (purple) for the 2nd coat then a regular clear over it And i figured right the fire red is shot over a black primer.. All i had was some black epoxy so after scuffing all the stuff with a red scotchbrite and tacking it off i thinned the epoxy to a sealer and shot that on and waited bout an hour then shot the base colors.. .. It all went good till i got into the hi solids clear ... .. Be A OK next week..
