Last night in my town Avondale, I left the bar at 2:10am on my bike, didn't drink much all night at all...no shots, maybe 3 beers in 6 hours or so, I was to busy playing pool and whatnot. I get on the scoot, stop in the left turn lane waited till it turned to a green arrow, pulled into the intersection and the car that was crawling from far away was now doing 70+ or more... no lights, ran the red light, missed me by 2-3 inches...when i saw he wasn't going to make the stop in time, i gunned it and he swerved to miss me... scared the crap outta me
Avondale cop with no emergency lights on.
today, I get the new scoot and ride to cavecreek rd to show it to some buddies... same crap, cop... no lights ran a stop sign and turned left to go north as I was riding southbound.....
3rd times a charm huh... I can't wait!
sorry for the rant, glad you got out of your ticket...

It's a shame when one of the few ******* cops set such a terrible example. Hopefully, he'll get reported and fired for his antics. These guys have a hard enough time as it is without some ***** like that causing bad feelings among the folks they're trying to help and protect.
My philosophy has always been to just: Respect 'em all, let God sort 'em out - and just hope for the best. So far in my 60 years on this earth, I've never had anything other than positive experiences with our LEOS. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.
Been Lucky with most LEO's don't mean have not got tickets have got a few but courtesy doen't cost you anything I have never been pulled over without a reason except once because of the late hour he thought was getting a drunk and said my tail light was out .. which miracously came back on after pulling me over.. But after saw had not been drinking all was well.. Last ticket I got was doing close to 80 in a 60 MPH zone ticketed me for 65 so didn't do any fussing whatsoever...
As an ex sheriffs deputy, I will bet dollars to donuts that if he had to chase you down then you would not have been given a choice! I use to give the ones who pulled over a brake and ticket the ones who did not! JMO
Well good for you. I'm glad somebody got off. I sure didn't. Coming back from OR through WA I got nailed for 52 in a 35. $190. And I was so nice I nearly made myself puke!! So it doesn't always work.... Glad it did for you though...
I use to work in the Youngstown Ohio Housing Projects and was a Deputy for 18 years. 1 day early in my career me and my partner are working rover float car and we see this guy weaving around on Market Street. A long story short we pull him over for DUI. After a check of his back round this guy had never had a ticket in his life. He told us he caught his wife cheating on him. The guy was a everyday hard working guy like most of us. So i move his car in the gas station. I took his car keys to the Sheriffs Office at the end of the tour. I told him to call somebody to bring him home. Would you believe this AZZ HOLE comes down to the Sheriffs Office the next day and files a Internal Affairs complaint that i took his keys and moved his car with out his permission. Well after that i never gave a DUI a break. But most of the time with a back round check and if you were respectful i just let you roll with a warning on speeding tickets. The moral of the story don't be a AZZ HOLE or disrespectful and 90 percent of the time you go away with a warning.
LOL>...... It never fails. Give somebody a break and it will bite you in the azz almost every time. And they wonder why old cops get cynical!!!!
I was riding through Texas doing 80 in a 70. Came over a hill and a state cop going the other way clocked me and turned on his lights. I pulled over turned off the motor and waited till he turned around and came back. He asked where I was heading so fast and I said I was returning to my duty station. We started talking about the military and found out we had been stationed at the same base once and then he let me go with a warning about deer running out in front of bikers in the daylight so slow down. Be nice and it usually pays off.
