Good news for those of you vertically challenged. Fat Baggers makes a seat lowering kit for the 09 baggers. Haven't saw one, but my wrench went to the Expo and saw it and said it's pretty slick. Check out the Fat Baggers web site. They're the people that I got the painted fairing mirrors for Terrie's 09 SG from.
Mustang solo seat did it for me. It is not as wide as stock HD seat at the nose.
Is it comfortable? I test drove a SG and the only problem was it pushed my legs out more. I had a 07 RK and felt the difference when I sat down. I need a 2up seat also.
I tried to find that seat and no luck. Where did you go? I'm curious to see what a $1800 seat looks like. Some of these company's really mark stuff up for something so simple, or even a slightly improved product from the current one.
There were 2 big events in Chicago last month.
Take a short ride up to Milwaukee, several events there each year.
I live downstate, to me it seems the big events in the midwest are right in your neighborhood.
Those events were in the cold weather. You figure that summer is short here and there would be more events. This year I'm doing some traveling. I will be going to milwaukee this year. I drove down to the HD museum this winter and really liked the ride.

Go to the Fat Baggers website and on the left, click on New Products. Scroll down and your see them....
With a 30-inch inseam, what worked for me is a combination of 12-inch shocks, a lower-profile and narrower seat in the nose, and a little less plush padding in the seat. In addition, I ride with biker boots with a 1-inch heel. I tried boots with taller heels, but it was less comfortable on the floorboards (feet angled too much) and it made heel-shifting more difficult (had to lift heel higher to shift).
I see why though. Thats retarded! I just want a seat that lowers me, not new side covers and everything else under the seat. Thats unpainted to!
Find the seat you like, send it to Mean City Cycles and have it lowered, along with shaving the sides down....That's what I did with my pillow look seat....
I like what Mean City Cycles has to offer but I dont like that you have to pay to get your own seat shipped back to you. Thats the least they can do. I guess I'm cheap then.
