You can use your car charger for you i pod to keep it charged while its playing. I don't know about the radio controls.

the wife bought me for christmas, a wrist watch that controls the ipod like a remote control. There is a device that plugs into the bottom of the ipod and then the regular cord that goes into the stereo, the watch is able to control all the functions of the ipod. The only problem is that it takes the space of where the charger would go... so I guess its either remote or charger not both! Just my .02
