Check behind the left side cover. The big fuse... THAT's the maxifuxe. But if you pull the fuse without turning the bike on first and you have a siren with your alarm system, it's going to complain!!!

The big orange 40 amp fuse under the side cover that shuts off all power if you pull it.

The battery comes out of my '02 each fall and goes on a maintainer, gets reinstalled in spring and no issues with the security alarm or anything else...well, so far anyway.
