You cutting the p-rods and using e-z install or pulling the tank?

Were it me, especially with the ease of pulling an 08 tank, I'd save my money and use the stock rods. You'll need some Timken B168 bearings, HD cam service gasket kit (don't use the inner bearings that come with it, use the Timkens), and the necessary tools.

FYI- I specifically told the shop that I did NOT want the cam service kit. I was supplying my own bearings and using adjustable pushrods so all I needed was a few gaskets. Saved about $40.00.

Also, I replaced my lifters, most seem to think it's a good idea.

Take it to the dealer they are still running there 15% discount on parts and labor.
My dealer charged me $230.80 parts and $259.00 labor to do the job.
I think $259 is pretty darned cheap to put in a set of cams.

Just in case anyone didn't know, HD #94076-09 is only $34.95 which is cheaper than Georges, plus even cheaper if you get it at a 20% dealer.

Keep us informed of your progress. I was thinking doing the same for my 08 SG. I have been trying to find out if the bolt in cam is actually bolt in. Will it work with the stock ignition? Will it affect idle, closed loop at idle and cruise etc.

Bolt in is just that, bolt in. Works with stock components (ignition, etc.) and doesn't affect cruise, etc.

As mentioned above, changing out the inner cam bearings to the Torrington type may be a good. However, if you're planning on doing this yourself, you may find the cost of the special tools required to change the bearings may be prohibitive.
