I want to replace the Dash console insert for my 08 RG. Anyone have a link to aftermarket site or HD part numbers. 08 is the orphan model year, apparently.
I am also interested in updating my console dash insert (2009 Road Glide here.) The catalogs and HD online both seem to have conflicting information. You will see "fits '89-'07 FLHS, FLTR, FLH, FLHT, FLHTC and FLTC models" in some descriptions and then "fits '89 and later models" in others. I have called several local dealers and they are saying the older console inserts will NOT fit the 2008 and newer bikes. Different consoles...at least for the FLTR's.
Any help from anyone here who has swapped out a 2008 or newer Road Glide insert with something else?

Or you could go to the local trophy shop and get one made out of the chrome, or brushed chrome outdoor sign plastic, laser engraved. probably 30 bucks. I got mine at B&B trophy in Clinton Twp. Mi.
Anyone have any insite on how to replace? My "new" bike already has a dimple in the console insert thats bugging the crap out of me and I want to change but cannot see how to remove it from the console complete?
I purchased one from Gordon at "gordonscustommotorcycleparts.com".
It was for my 08 SG and adds a lot of class to the tank area.
I talked to him last year,Dude wanted like $750 for a set for my 87 FLH, my pockets aint that deep!
That's why I went Trophy Shop!! The engraving is actually black, thats just the light from the flash, the finish is brushed nickel. Looks better in person.
