Have bags, both sides - "dual tube" on the left, big pouch on the right, don't ever want to be without them. Way too handy.
Which is better; water bottle-style, or pouch-style?
Using your left hand, would you be able to retrieve a bottle of water from the pouch- style while riding? Or would you be wishing you bought the water bottle-style?
Thanks
I got the left-hand water bottle style. I use whatever water bottle they got at the gas station. The black HD bottle that comes with it is not that easy to drink out of so it stays home.
They are spendy to buy, but I love it. besides, The Dealer thru one in on the deal and a couple t-shirts when I got the bike.
Thanks all for the replies - - - all great responses --arms me with enough to say: I'll save my money and spend it elsewhere!

I love the HogTrough bottle holder mounted on the locked lower fairing door, within a nice easy reach. The wife and I use it all the time, ill pass it back to her. We freeze a 32 oz bottle and it takes hours to thaw out.
The bags usually sag and look crappy after awhile, also beware of how you mount a cup holder as I've see someone mount it wrong and go down because it hit the chrome console on the middle of his roadking.. I just use a stainless thermos in the saddlebag..
I think cupholders are for goldwings..
I have one and use it alot on long trips. I usually grap a gatorade with the pull spout but it will still warm up quick. I mainly use it with my coffee thermas on my commute to work. It has the 360* drink and fits perfect in the holder
I have bags on both sides (not that water bottle style). I'll freeze bottles of water before leaving and put them in the bags (up to 2 on each side). They stay cold for a fairly long time. I always have at least one bottle of water in them. If you end up sitting in the hot sun warm water is better than no water at all.

Water-bottle for sure for a water bottle. Even the covered one is easy enough to open up with one hand (although it tends to close on you once you remove the bottle. The pouch one is rather hard to open even when unzipped (with one hand). At least, it's hard to get to something inside it when you're riding...
