Thanks everybody for the info!! Correction:The original info I was provided was in error. The kit containing chrome hex head bolts (6) for the clutch release cover also includes bolts for the top tranny cover and an additional 10 bolts for the right side of the motor. The bolts with washers were actually $2.50 per pc. not $9.00 per pc. After doing a little research I find the HD bolts to be very competitive and HD includes loctite on the necessary bolts.
Do yourself a favor and get rid of ANY button-head Torx bolts. Last time I went to pull off the jockey cover, had to drill out two. Seems the dealership has an affinity for using air-tools to put bolts back on
or use Hot Toppers....Easy and probably cheaper then replacing all the bolts......I picked up a starter kit for under $130 which took care of the engine, tranny, primary, and most of the exposed bolts from the side covers forward, minus the caliber bolts.
