Default My wait is over././ or is it?

OK for those that don't know. I bought my bike back in december. It showed up a week and a half ago(hard to remember because I have been working TOO much)

So my license plate is supposed to be in today and coincidently it is going to be 50ish degrees and maybe even up 50s to 60 tomorrow. The catch is we still have like a foot or more of snow on the sides of the roads, tons of potholes and salt everywhere. My inner anxious rider wants me to get it today and ride it till the wheels fall off. The dealer is trying to tell me I don't want to ride it yet. I should wait till the roads are cleaner and pot holes addressed. Help me make up my mind.

If its warm enough to ride it, its warm enough to rinse it off when you are done I took mine out last night when i got home from work, it was about 45 degrees

If you're experienced riding in those conditions, why the hell not? But the fact that you seem to doubt your ability tells me you ought to wait or trailer it home... or have a couple beers & go for it!

Anything over 40 and I say ride it. Salt can be washed off just do it right away, not tomorrow, not later this afternoon, when you finish the ride-clean it.

There is just no way you are going to be able to get that salt dust out of every crack and crevice and for the money that you paid, I would wait till at least it rains and gets the crap off the streets. You will sleep much better. Pot holes are a different story. You can usually maneuver around them but with the harsh cold winter everybody seems to have had, especially here in Ohio, you will spend more time looking down than enjoying the ride.

Mike I'm in Revere. Very tempting. It's what 50 today, 60 tomorrorw? If my bike wasn't tore down I'd be out there.

Congrats on the new ride. Did you get it at Rossmeyers? Hope you got treated ok. Not a big fan of their sales dept.

if road conditions are SAFE enough to go out for a ride, then YES by all means. if there is any doubt whatsoever, then ask yourself if you can afford to dump that bike. patience is a virtue!

Why did you post a poll asking what you should do?
