I prefer the SG over The EGC. The black engine, bullet turn signals, clean fenders, and the 1" lower rear are all my style. Things I would suggest to add to the SG, better seat, tour pak, slightly taller windshield and cruise. If offered, I would also get the ABS. I went from riding 10k a year on my dyna, to 17K on the SG. Either one you get, you'll start planing longer trips
