Here's my take between the 2,i'd opt for the SG,do you really need the tour pack all the time. You could add one later if you actually want one.SG is an awesome bike. That being said i had debated myself between the SG and the RKC.RKC won out, the versatility of the RKC or RK for that matter couldnt be ignored.Didnt like the idea of a permanant fairing anyway.Take shield off/on whenever you want, add a tourpack or fairing(deatchables)if ever you want.
Just another option.

Go for the SG! I had a 2000 Lowrider. After 15 minutes on a 2006 SG I putted the Lowrider for sale. In 25 days I will get a brand new sg :-)

Personally I'd go Glide. But ask the same question over in the Dyna section and see what you get for responses... What do YOU like? WHY are you considering the switch? HOW do you do most of YOUR riding? Long hauls? Baggage required? You've got to answer some questions to yourself prior to making that switch. I love the Dyna family, and my LowRider is the ONLY Harley I really wish I had back. Don't switch for the SG just cause they're in vogue right now. Everything changes. My current ride will always be with me, I may upgrade but the King will always stay. Do the numbers, and let us know.
