Is it the same depth as the stock one? I mean in the back, it may have a deeper profile than a stock one. Perhaps you may have not put enough oil in and thats why its bottoming. Cant think of any other reason it would do that unless you took the forks apart and left a dampner out or have an aftermarket crashbar that is interfering.

This hit was on a brand new 09 bagger, and the spacer stopped it from happening. Believe this will work on your 07 as Harley went back to dampners in 06, but please verify what yours is. We are a sponsor for this forum so I believe I am OK posting the link.
