little pricey but they work and I like the look. Good Luck.
i also have the rjsoriginals they work good but the one thing these do that the others don't is allow you access if you have an adjustable backrest the little trigger that mounts to the frame gets blocked by all others except for rjsoriginals they are more expensive but they are made out of aluminum and wrapped with high quality leather so there for you can bend and tweak them a little if need be, good luck. oh and they are made by american vets.

Default Hot Ride

MY 07 was a real oven to ride on any day over 70 degrees, after a lot of money and frustration RJ heatshields with the TTS tuner have done the job. I'm even using the stock headers with no problem for the wife or myself.

Ditto, I have nothing on mine and it gets freakin hot in NM! Sometimes in long traffic or lights I feel some heat, but overall it don't bother me.

I know it's frustating but unfortunately, the dealer isn't just spouting cliche's. They, and the MOCO are stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one. They're bound by EPA regulations and that means that for the recent year models, they'll all run hot and it is normal. None of us like it but we're stuck with it. The folks that probably don't mine are those selling the upgrade mufflers, air cleaners, heat deflectors, and products like the Power Commander.

Poppa cooter, thank you for posting about my product. I just need to clarify one thing you have there. I bond a black simulated leather looking vinyl that matches the grain of your harley's seat to the Aluminum. I don't use leather. Leather in time will warp and even crack from the heat. Just look at some of the older seats that HD offered that has a thick leather apron on it. I did my homework. Ive been at it since August, 2002.

The RJ Originals are about as good as it gets. I put them on mine and they made a major difference, it kept the heat off the inside of my legs in the slow moving times.

I would endorse these to anyone without even a second thought.

Great work RJ, thanks for a great product at a reasonable cost.
