And you've now set yourself up for the perpetual grief that comes from trying to put the dam fairing back in place with the headlight bucket in place.
As previously stated, the bubble comes off easily enough simply by prying up slightly with something thin (paint scraper, etc.) on the two lower tabs.

Did that to mine this winter. Some say the bugs and stones may bother the headlamp lenses as they are not hardened. I will have to keep an eye on that, but the mod looks better than dirt behind the bubble did.
