Riding two-up with the wife (09 Ultra, ~1500 miles), the intercom became inttermittant. Then I noticed the radio was losing power and coming back on just about everytime we hit a bump (which is pretty often here in the Heart of Dixie). Sunday, I pulled the outer fairing and the seat off and jiggled every wire bundle and connector I could get to but could not make it fail. Then I pulled the left side cover and found that the radio power fuse was very loose on one side, much looser than any other fuse. I twisted the loose blade slightly and that firmed up the connection. No problem on a test ride or on the way in to work this morning. I'll probably ask about this on my next trip to the dealer.
While I had the fairing off, I wired the garage door opener to the headlight high beam (I found the details for this here on the forum several months ago). Took about an hour to scrounge the wires, find the soldering iron and get it installed. Works like a charm.
Hope that solved your problem. I also wired the garage door opened to the high beam and mounted it inside the fairing. Now I don't have to fumble for that remote when I get home. Works great
