If you were getting True Duals and new mufflers from the start, what all would you get? Please explain why also. Thanx
Python true dual head pipes with rush slip-ons. I have been very impressed by Python, have them also on my Heritage.
They have a full one piece heat shield. If I would have got everything at once, I would have gotten the Mamba set up by Python.
Supposedly they are made by Vance and Hines, but from what I see they are a better product. Just my 2 cents.

The Vance and Hines Power Duals are supposed to produce more power than the True Duals and are abou the same price.

With Big Shot Duals there is no worry about the seal between the slip on and the header as it is all one pipe. I went with the black heat shields but they also do chrome. Easy install, I’m very happy with them.

Hey roxnatwist...looks like we have the same setup. I ordered a set of V&H Dresser Duals that will be here Wednesday! I have my Hog prepped and mapped ready to bolt them babies on by Thursday morning, I CAN'T WAIT!!! Please go ahead and express more on this set up to feed my hunger. FYI This is not a hijack of this thread

You'll like the sound and power of your set-up when it's all on the bike. If you're still looking for power (at least everything the stock motor will make) you may want to consider an air cleaner upgrade and a tuning device. Although there's one negative comment on "piggyback" tuners you just can't argue with numbers and the numbers say that for the money you just can't beat a PCIII or PC V and Fuelmoto is the dealer of choice. It's as close to plug and play as it gets and it's less than half the cost of a complete system. Mucho bang-o for the buck-o.
FYI - I added fishtail end caps on my wife's Heritage and they look and sound great and with the PCIII it has lot's more power than stock.

I had true duals with stock cam and lost bottom end power. Fatcat 2-1 gives better bottom end power, but also more heat on rt side, almost unbearable at lights at times. Just installed s&s 510g cams and v&h black bigshot duals. Great power, runs cool, clean look but very loud. I'm sure these pipes aren't near as loud with stock cam, so you might look into them...they also come in chrome.
