True Duals
Hi Everyone, I have an 08 Ultra. I am thinking of buying a set of Vance and Hines Dresser Duals (i purchased V&H Oval slip ons right after I purchased the bike) I was wondering if anyone had any advice? Comments? Thanks for your time , Bill
I recommend reseaching: 1, a new ECM to replace the stock one, I wouldn't get the kind that piggy back on the stock. 2, Hi-Flow air cleaner to complete the combo with the true duals. With both installed your bike should run cooler than it does now.
I would recommend replacing the head pipe to cylinder gaskets (65324-83A). I got my duals from Eastern Performance and they sold me their gasket kit. Had leaks at both head pipes and ended up getting the stock HD parts, fixed the problem.
I had the same combination before I changed to the monster ovals and it is a great set-up. I do have the Screamin Eagle High Flow & the V/H Fuel Pak and my results are great. You can't beat V/H for quality on their pipes. Take a look at Eastern Performance, they have good prices, no tax, or shipping !!!
Don't think you'll regret it. The fit and finish is nice. I set mine up with Rush slip-ons and a PCIII and my bike never ran better. Definitely replace the cylinder gaskets and follow all the recommended torque values. You'll be thrilled with the results.

Thanx for starting this thread. I also have an 08 Ultra and was thinking of getting True Duals. I still have everything stock. I'm ignorant on this subject.
If you were getting True Duals and new mufflers from the start, what all would you get? Please explain why also. Thanx

You know I go back and forth on this. I finally decided to stay with slip-ons for one major reason. This bike just runs sweet the way it is (Stage I, Rineharts, etc). The power, economy and performance are just right for me. I'm almost afraid to screw with success for a couple of horsepower.
