If that Ipod has moving parts inside, placing it on your scoot will damage it. They cant take the boucing around or constant vibration. I have gone through 2 ipod classics already. I am buying a used nano from a guy at work. I just dont want to see you ruin a nice ipod. Do a search, there threads about it.
That is the mount that I used. I tried the waterproof box with the clear window. Supposedly you can operate the Touch through the window.....You Cant!!
+1 on the RAM Mount. Mine works great. I'll just take it off when it rains and stick it in my pocket. Got the iPod Touch specifically for the flash drive so the vibrations wouldn't affect it (I hope!). So far, so good.
any luck in finding a shorter cord to hook it up, so far I can only find a 6 foot one from Radio Shack ???
Run the excess behind the fairing and zip tie it to something. Best place to go in and out is right where the bars go inside.
And for you guys running the Ipod Touch on a Ram Mount or any other mount. I highly recommend getting the Invisible Shield by Zagg. I have one on my Samsung Eternity (touch screen phone) and it works great.

If you check Amazon and Ebay there are also cords that plug into the data port on the bottom. This gives the advantage of clearer music and the volume is totally controlled by the head unit, not the Ipod. Higher volumes give less distortion this way.
