A buddy just got a H-D f-l-c for his 02 RKC,the instructions say unscrew the existing trim but he tell's me it's rivetted on.Anybody fitted one of these?
The ring around it is simply pressed in. Take a very thin screwdriver or knife edge to get between it and the cover and simply lift it off. The srews are underneath the ring.
I think you mean an FLHS, not FLHC. 'S' Custom, 'C' Classic.
No problem on a 'C'. Mine went straight on. The lock/unlock ring is just held on by plastic 'nubs'. Just pry it off with a small screwdriver to get to the screws in the lock. I'll post a pic or two.

Just checked my Parts book..It shows the 'C' and 'S' are the same. 2 screws, not rivets. Maybe the 'European' models are different?
