I went with a factory painted inner fairing. Ordered it thru Chicago HD, 20% off, (440.00 to my door) sold my stocker on Ebay for 145.00. Net cost, 295.00. Another reason I went this route was because I installed Tallboy bars on it and nix'd the fairing mounted mirrors and didn't want to deal with the holes in the fairing that were left when I removed the mirrors. The factory painted inner fairing doesn't come with the holes but a templete to drill yourself if you want the fairing mounted mirrorors

BTW, I just installed a vivid black inner fairing on my friends '08 white gold pearl street glide and it looks sweet. I thought maybe the white inner would have been alittle to much white. The black inner really broke it up. I'm not trying to throw a monkey wrench in your plan's, just sharing options..............Putt

I actually thought about painting mine black. That way i wouldnt have the slight mismatch i have and it would have been a lot easier to keep clean. The reason i painted mine was the flat sucks and is hard to clean.. Id suggest if your gonna go black the paint the one you have for sure.. It will be a lot cheaper

Go to any paint dealer that handles "House of Kolor" paint products and they will use a computer scanner on one of your existing parts and they will match it so close you will never know the difference of being done at home or factory.

I done a fender with "House of Kolor" paint and they are great!!! Can be done with PPG, Sherwin Williams, or Nason and they area all great paints if properly prepared. My has been doing custom paint touch up work for over 15 years and swears by "House of Kolor" for the really touchy stuff. My 2 cents.
