Put on my V&H Basic Slip-ons on Saturday. They rock. Best combination of soft idle and throttle roar out there IMHO. In essence you can decide when and if you want to wake the neighbors.

Wouldn't recommend this combination. The new downloads don't do squat.... run the rush with 1 3/4 or S.E. and stock airbox and the a/f will be same as a stock muffler.

But not sure about the regular slip-ons. Let me know what youy think. Thanks for the input.
I just read the Cycle World review for the V&H Monster Ovals. They showed a 5% hp and over 9% torque increase across the whole band and stated these were the first slip-ons they have seen that did this. This was with no EFI changes. The sound was also reported to be excellent. Deep rumble but not too loud.

I guess if I was looking at slip-ons, I would look at V&H even though they are in the $750 - $850 range. You can probably get some discount. The extra power/torque with the look is very nice.

Anyway, that is my vote!

I have the Rinhart True Duals on my 110. While it can be VERY loud if you go full throttle, normal riding is not bad. My wife and I went on a 600 mile 1 day ride and no complaints from her or me on sound. No ear plugs, in case you are wondering.

If I rode hard around the police, I might get stopped. Going easy, they never bother me.

In case you have sound level numbers to compare, my Rinehart TDs were at 104 db for the NH test. They pass (legal is 106 db). Of course, Massachusetts is around 86 db, I believe.

I got the Fuelmoto setup, can't beat the price for the performance and sound. the Jackpots sound deep and are quiet at cruise but open up when you get on it.

Just my 0.02 worth, I went with the SuperTrapp SE's, I really like the sound a bit deeper and louder than stock but not enough to drown out the radio - have a nice bark when you twist the throttle. And they are tunable also by adding/subtracting discs. Like everyone else is saying listen to bikes at a dealer - rally and find the sound you like - everyone is always happy to show off their sound.
