I'm looking to put some slip-ons on my 09 UC and think i narrowed it down to Screaming Eagles or Rush. Cant find the Rush homepage, any help? Those who have either or experience with both, what do you think, sound, quality and overall. Vance and hines are a little pricey for the Monster ovals i like. But not sure about the regular slip-ons. Let me know what youy think. Thanks for the input.
If you really want the harley sound then forget the new S/E crap.. too quiet.. Rush or the fuel moto. I hear fuel moto had a better baffle than rush but to me from what ive seen the muffler looks like a rush ? you can also get new baffles for the rush slipons from fuel moto for like A 100 bucks i think it was... I have rush and like em but even with 2 1/2 baffles they are good and loud ..
I had the SE Street Performance Touring Mufflers on my Road King and really liked them. More sound than the stock mufflers, but not loud at all. Modest performance gain.
here you rush web site epiflex.com. great pipes good luck. later slick
Thanks slick. I defintely am not wanting loud pipes, ive done it before and with the Ultra, i want to keep the sound reasonable. Even though i sometimes bore myself to death, i still want to be able to hear myself think ridden down the road and sometimes the wife when she talks.
With the fuelmoto, do you have to hook up a computer or is it plug and play. Ive always just gone with the HD stage 1 so not familiar with the options.
Pipes are very subjective. I found the Rush to be "tinny" sounding as opposed to the SE (49 State Legal, not 50 State) which sound fantastic. I just ordered the SE (50-State)for my 09' but know they only slightly louder than stock.
You might save yourself some disappointment by listening to some different pipes before you make a decision. Go to a bike night or other event and listen to them as they roll in.
I have the SE Touring Slip-ons on my '09 Ultra with the SE A/C and SEST and think they are great; a little louder than stock but still legal in all states. I had V&H Ovals on my '08 Ultra but thought they were too loud for my liking. If you improve the breathing with a SE A/C and improved flow slip-ons you will need some type of tuner to adjust the EFI for the improved fuel/air flow.
just went to the rush site. kind of thought they sounded a little tinny too. they look nice so probably going to try to hear in person before i do anything.

Listening to the sound clip on the site just doesnt show the true sound believe me.. You have to hear them
