Default Which screen?

Hi, your opinions would be greatly appreciated. I still have the stock 12” screen fitted to my 08 Ultra. I am not looking forward to another season with severe wind turbulence, it would nice to not have vibration to eyewear and helmet at speeds over 100kmh/60mph. I am 6ft tall.
I have been looking at , Clearview – recurve, Klock Werks – flare and the Windvest. Your views on these products and any others that you may recommend would be a great help.

I have a 14" Clearview with recurve. I bought it used from a member here for my winter riding. I can tell you that I have no issues looking through the shield. I am considering ordering a Fastaire 10" dark grey for the summer and since they are very inexpensive, if it doesnt work out for me, I will sell it here quickly.

If the wind is hitting you in the eyes, you could probably go up 2" or down 2". My 12 inch stock shield drove me nuts (short ride) because the top caught me at eye level.

There is a thread on the next page titled " fast Aire ".
I checked it out and everyone is raving about fastair.com
I have a 9" windshield that is perfect on my ultra ( i am 5'11" ). But I payed $80 from memphis shades. Wish I knew about Fastaire befor I bought.
Anyway the 9" is a perfect height I can see over it, with no wind in the face at nornal speeds. And if I sit high in the seat I can get a bit of breeze on my face if I want

I'm 6'1" and have a 11" SSC Cee Balies windshield on my SG. It sits at the same height as a 9" normal shield but smothes the wind around the rider. It has a curved shape somewhat like the Klock but taller. I can turn my head with a 1/2 helmet on and not feel like it's getting riped off my head. It vibrates somewhat annoyingly at idle and about 1100 rpm but smothes out when youre crusing. Comes in a bunch of sizes and colors, I went with black and can see over top with no problems. I'm happy with it but not everybody likes the look.
Good luck!

I was also having the same problem with the eye glasses and bought a 14 1/2 inch half moon mar resistant light tint windshield from Clark's Custom Windshields www.customflhtwindshields.com. Problem solved. I can also hear the radio much better and the wife loves it as a passenger. I do not own, work for, or even know the people that own the company, just passing on info on a great product.

Im 5'8 and went with the Clearview 6.5 w/recurve and love it. just enough wind to remind me im on a bike, but no bugs or turbulence and can hear the radio as good as when i was looking thru the 12 inch stock.
