Default Passing Lamp Part Number.......

I'm looking for the passing lamps that you can change the bulb on the back, not the sealed units that came stock on my bike.

What is the part number for them?

Thanks,

Steve

The replacement kit is #68348-05. They say they are a sealed beam unit but they do have a removable bulb. The individual lamp is part #68414-05

The ones I had on my '02 Fatboy passing lamps were halogen H3 bulbs part number 68851-98. These bulbs are 35watt and the H3's most auto parts stores carry are 55 watt and higher.

Hey Steve? What do you use on your paint to give it that wet look? Looks great!

I use Lemon Pledge as a detailer spray.....works great and keeps the dust off better then any other detailer spray I've found.

For a wax, I use McGuire's NXT2 paste wax.......normally 2-3 coats on top of each other.

These passing lamps, do they take H3 bulbs?

I need to figure out what bulbs I'm going to put in them. I'm going to put some higher wattage bulbs in all 3 front lights to try and improve the nightime vision a bit. Going back to the stock headlight setup and selling the dual bulb one I have in there now.

I'm thinking around 5000K in temp for the bulbs..........a real crisp white light with just a touch of blue. That along with the higher wattare should help out at night.

I went back to the stock lamp set up from smoked sealed beams so that I could upgrade to the Silverstar 880ST's. Would these be comparable to H3's?
