I know this might be a crazy question, but even so, if you're looking at for a Street Glide, why are you contemplating buying a Road Glide? Just because it's a good deal? Believe me, I've done that before and it never worked for me. The thrill of getting a screaming good deal soon wears off every time you see one of the models that you really wanted. And it will grow on you like a bad car wreck. If you really love the RG, fine, I'm just sayin'.....Been there, done that, and I ended up having to let her go to get what I really wanted.... Give it some serious thought, even with the great deal.
I totally get what you are saying. I couldn't agree more. I really like both the RG and the SG its just that the SG fits me much better right out of the box. Besides a good price and low miles this bike has had some nice work done. 103 stage II. Braided lines. Klockwerks windshield. Internally wired fog lights. Smoked tail light and tun signals. warranty until 2012. My main problem is the reach to the bars, long trips would be tough I think.
I had a SG on order but went with a UC however with my height of 5.8, everybody suggested the hertige bars that pull back a little farther and combine that with the work that MeanCityCycles.com can do to the seat not to mention using the HD Low profile rear shocks, your options are limitless. If it is a good deal go with it. Thats the best part of owning a harley, making it fit you and making it your own
Would you go with HD Low profile rear shocks, or the street glide shocks?
