If I recall correctly some of the seats in teh Harley catalog are simply designated touring and fit differt touring models. Some have specific design elements that they attribute to a specific model but I think anything will bolt on any touring model that designed for that frame.
Corbin has common seat styles and then manufactures a variety of seat pans for different bikes. They simply build the selected style of seat on the appropriet seat pan. i have thier touring seat wich is a great two up seat. In my case it supports my T bag. I got for the comfort. You can select from a variety of leathers and Mix and match them. Mine is black leather with snake skin on the seat edge trim that picks up the 100th stripe on the '03 tank. You have a heater put in it and select from a variety of piping colors and stitch paterns. It's almost like getting a custom seat. Alao, if you go to the factory they build the seat to fit your butt and give breakfast in thier restaraunt while they build your seat and then they install it for you.
I'v had my Road Zeppelin seat now for about a year and a half. I am about 5'9 inches with a 28 inseem and from the stock seat, it is harder to flat foot the ground.
I think it raised me up a inch. I don't use/need the air very often but when I do, it is very nice indeed. They are not cheep, I did get 20 percent off on the seat. I got it at Hale's in Ohio, road over there, put the seat on and road home, all in one day[8D]
I grew up in that neck of Ohio. Lived about 30 miles away from Mansfield in West Salem, home of Dragway 42, world's first double dragstrip. I remember when Hale's was in a little building and they might have 4 bikes on display. Different world now, though!
I stop in there when we go up to see my sister in Norwalk, OH. She lives between the two stores of another HD legend, Roeder's HD. I get a Hale's t-shirt every year or so. I like the ones that look like you are looking thru the prison bars from the old penitentiary at Hale's shop, and say "Room with a view."
Their 20% discount, and the service via phone, is great. Last time I was in they were awful proud of their bikes, though. Wondering if they are down to msrp now?
