I know I only have an 08', but I also experienced the decel vibration that CHIMP mentioned. It would happen just before coming to a complete stop. That was when the bike was new. It seemed to have stopped after the bike had about 400 miles on it.

if you mean when you are braking and JUST before you come to a complete stop then I had the same thing on my 08 flht. scared the poop out of me the first time. especially while trying to get used to the "shimmy shimmy shakes" that happen from the lack of rear motor mount.

It stopped doing it the first time I did an "OH S%@T stop". I experienced it on a different make of bike that also has REALLY good front brakes. I chock that up to just the front pads 'braking' in. no pun intended.

Geez, I'll be watching this to see what you find out. Sorry to hear about the problems, but on an 09 I'd insist that thing be bulletproof. I haven't read of that problem previous to this post. Most of the reviews I have read indicate that they are really pleased. Keep us posted.

I agree with you but when I first joined here back in august there was a mechanic who works on these bikes for a dealer. He was the first to point out that the "heat issue" (if you can call it that) is still there only in different spots and that the new bikes might not idle with excessive vibrations but they DO have vibration at other rpms.

I noticed that he was spot on when I did some limited time in the saddle before deciding what bike I wanted to buy.

To be completely honest, the 09's handle SO well in the twisties at speed that it's real easy to over look a little vibration. It's not excessive in my limited experience.

I believe he also mentioned that the 09's aren't a "plushy" feeling on the highway as well. Also another characteristic of the some people ive spoken to.

It's a different bike. it's gonna feel different. should the vibrations be EXCESSIVE? no but it's normal if it is palpable if not moderate.

I don't have this problem on my 09. It's just smooth as glass.

OK dealer looked at bike yesterday, checked engine mounts and test drove. I was told all is fine. I still feel the vibrations @ 2200-2800 rpm. I have 200 miles on clock now and it appears that either I am getting used to it, or the vibrations are going away as I don't feel as much. The tech @ dealer said that because of the new engine mounts being close to floorboards is reason for minor vibrations. Other that that bike is great, turns and handles awesome.

I noticed those when my bike was new. I had never had a touring model before, only softails, dyna street bob and sportsters. I don't notice it any more though.

The 2009's have adjustable floor boards. I don't know if moving their location would help ease the vibration but I think once you just go ride and aren't focused on it, you'll forget about it.
