always enjoy your post. just be thankful hubby has a job where he can get all those hours. my job is selling commercial trucks and i have gone fron selling an average of 70 a month to 4 or 5, literally. not saying this to make anyone feel bad, just know there are persons out there who would gladly be in your place. i know this too shall pass but hope it isn't too long. really do not want to spend my savings paying bills instead of planning for retirement (53 years here). have an idea, since we are bothed "off" so to speak, lets go riding and let the working peaple work. what cha think? again, always enjoy your post. ride safe!!!
You know, I do really feel bad when I complain about my husband working that many hours and there's so many people out of work or about to lose their job. He can lose his at any time though as that is the nature of his job, industrial construction. And what's worse, in this rotten economy, I have given up my high paying job for a job making much less money all in these horrible economic times. I really do feel guilty. But in my situation I was either about to have a nervous breakdown (not even sure I didn't) or have a heart attack. And for him, he is never, ever home and can't do anything around the house that he needs to do or be with me and I'm lonely. We are so grateful to have jobs though, but our health is suffering. Don't think for a second that we have not felt guilty for the state of the nation and us not being able to tolerate all the hours we work. But we need time together and living a life without worrying about my health the way I have and his health takes top priority.
This reply was not meant for you to think you hurt my feelings or as some kind of mean reply to your comment. I promise it was not and you said nothing wrong at all. Sometimes I just feel guilty about it all even though I shouldn't.
Rhonda, as everyone has said, you certainly have been blessed with the gift to tell a great story. Not sure if you are a writer by occupation, but you should be. You have a great gift and should be writing for one of the great motorcycle mags. Now, that being said, get out and enjoy that pup and as soon as you can, get on the back of that beautiful Ultra and ride....

I'm not a writer by occupation, but a registered nurse. Unfortunately, there's no inspiration to write anything about nursing for me. Not that I don't like it, but I do it everyday and I like to leave it behind when I'm home.
Now I DO love to write about things that inspire me and get me all excited and there are so many things that do that. I would love to write for a living (or just as a side thing for fun) but I just can't find that right place to.send them. Thank you for the compliment!
Hey Rhonda, this is way OT and probably shouldn't be on this thread, but wanted you to see it. I am looking for a ghost writer. I have lived a CRAZY life for the last 23 yrs. running a Horse Facility. Horse people are crazy and I have tons of stories that are down right funny! Some down right scary. Stories from a big fat woman doing something stupid on one of my school horses and falling off ending up with her legs spread around a fence post . When the paramedics came they had to take down my fence and then had to call 2 fire engines to come get her out of the field as she was too heavy for their stretcher and them telling me to never call them again!! Then there were the Indians that came to live here and ended up being witches that had a vodoo doll with my name on it and pins stuck in places on the doll that really did end up hurting me!!! Lots more where that came from! By the way....the Indians turned out not to be Indians at all. They dyed their hair and changed their names to be Native American names. Oh, there is a murder investigation going on also, involving them.

Rhonda, Perfectly normal to feel guilty the way you are in today's society, but you're only just a human being knowing the differences between rights and wrongs. My advice is to stay on the Positive Note by looking on how fortunate you are despite the most recent situation you experienced. Others basically give up and rot to pieces cuz you are a warrior and defeat the odds. Hey, The members on this site including me are very fortunate to have you as a great friend and writer. Keep on writing and talking with us to carry you on cuz we all do care about you.
Keep your spirits up with your hubby Allyn, kids and the new pup, Savannah. Miracle does the rest of us wonders, Ya know.

Wow, it certainly sounds like you have some great stories to tell!! I'm not exactly sure what a ghost writer is. But the kind of writing I'm only good at is from personal experiences. If a ghost writer is someone writing about someone else's experiences, I don't think I'd be good at it. I would also like to write some fiction with some accurate historical things in it about my childhood and the things that went on down south in the 60s. I also would like to write some ghost stories. I have this thing about ghost tales (not occult or satan or bloody mess), just good old fashioned ghost stories. Fact mixed with fiction. For instance, across the road from my house, right across the field is this old house about to fall down, it's on our families property. When my daughter was little she use to see the figure of a woman standing in the window. Also, the other day when walking my new pup, when I went to the farest end of my yard, the pup stopped and would go no further, looking over at that house. I could not coax her any further and she always follows me anywhere. hmmmm. Also, true story, my husband's grandmother found real gold coins in that house when she was a young woman.....he was her uncle and he hid them during the time that everyone was suppose to turn in their gold. Gosh, I have a good ghost story in me to tell. I have a lot of stories in me. (by the way....don't really believe in ghosts but I have fun with the concept). Hey...how did I get this far off topic, lol!
All our pups , OW took em out every half hour or so every night , and it works , they never messed inna house .. Aside from the biting "play" she's probly having teething pains as well .. Keep a couple frozen rags for her to chew on , it'll keep her occupied and the cool will help keep the teething pain down some ..
