I was looking at the BUB seven exhaust system for my 09 street glide. I know bub is made by reinhart or vise versa. I was wondering if BUB was a cheaper version of reinharts?
Price wise, they're about the same. Sound wise...more or less the same.
I have BUB 7's on my 09 Ultra and like the sound. I captured the sound but the bike was still cold (8:30a on Sunday @ 42 degrees out, so the bike rpm was higher than normal.
The file is a little big, so it will take a few to load, but here is what they sound like (remember, it's cool out so the rpm is up a bit):
Both BUB and Reinharts are good pipes.... on my 06 road king i put reinhart true duals w/ a ness big sucker... on my 06 ultra i got after the roadking i put bub true duals w/ a ness big sucker and am kicking myself for not putting reinharts on it.... a bit louder and deeper sound.... i'll put reinharts on every bike i get from now on.... the bubs look better but reinharts sound much better (in my opinion)
Price wise i think they are about they used to be about the same at Eastern Performance but its been awhile since i looked at the price tags
I've got Bub 7's and another guy I used to ride with has Rineharts. Fit, finish, and quality is good for both. Mine have more of a throaty rumble when you twist the throttle. His have more of a higher pitched bark. They both sound good, but I prefer the sound of my pipes over his. Prices might be more comparable now. Rineharts used to be a bit more expensive. Dyno wise, the Bub 7's have better torque if for no other reason than not having the classic dip in torque down low. If you go with the version with a crossover pipe, your low rpm torque numbers will be even better than the true duals. But I have no idea if they sound different than the true duals. I've never heard them so I can't say.
That oughta make the decision even harder huh? Might just be easier to flip a coin!
same thing, small differences in the look. it's all what you like. the masses went for the reinharts and the price drove up. you know that game.
all in all the same product as for quality and performance.
