I was wondering, On my ultra , at an idle , my volt meter drops down to about 12.5 volts with the brake on. I have the tour pack lights and the H.D. module that uses the turn signals as brake lights. I had it into the stealer and they said the batery and charging circuit was ok. Anyone else notice this?

That gauge is no where near calibrated, and the only way you are going to be able to tell if your system is failing is Milliamp Draw tests, as well as current and Voltage drops...
At 3000 rpm your bikes system is putting out about 13 volts...

That's your answer, assuming you trust the dealer. If you have a voltmeter, you can check what your voltage really is at the battery terminals while the bike is at idle, and then compare it to what you are getting with the gauge in the dash, should set your mind at ease. If you have the cable set up for a trickle charger you could check the voltage there.
Thanks for clearing that up Bob - My gauge always says it is at 14 to 16 volts - Since I never had a problem I just chalked it up to the gauge being inaccurate - I use it for reference only
