Default Tour Bikes and Vets,

I have a FLHT and Tour on a Harley. Ok so I said this and now it is an official Touring thread.

Today I wrote a thread about a recently passed Medal of Honor Vet and it got canned. Here is my response:

I am going to respond to my own thread. One that was “MOVED”! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-t...ng-thread.html

It is ok to talk about CDs, Floods, Potential Law Suits, cigarette lighters, Weather in Wisconsin, How UPS sucks, How UPS is the greatest, How FEDEX Sucks, How FEDEX is the greatest, tickets to the HD museum, I rode a BMW, Is it ok to wear a HD shirt if I’ve never been to ***?, Can I put VW Mud Flat tire on the back of my 04 FLHT, will putting rocks in my trans void my……you get the idea!

But have a 2 time Combat Vet make a comment about a very recently passed Medal of Honor recipient, Ed "TooTall" Freeman, and your thread gets moved.

Sponsors take note of the movement. Fuel Moto..you there?

Hooah Man, As a proud 23 year active Army vet (1982-2005) I agree. Some gave all and it sounds like he was one of the few, may he RIP.

It is the internet, don't take it personally.

All gave some, some gave all....

Yea if the thread got moved for any other reason than a mistake.it sucks for one reason you're right in that we can talk about anything just to be talking, but IMO there is a major number of us on this forum that are vets and if we can't pay respect to our BRO'S than that is just WRONG.

Ditto that.

But remember - we served so that the mods have the right to move threads.

Seriously though - There are a lot of threads that probably don't belong here - that's the beauty of this forum. Free form.

Oh yeah - I'm a vet, and I ride a Road Glide.

Every once in a while we need to be reminded of the many sacrifices our vets endure. It keeps us humble. When I heard the news and when I realized he had passed here in Idaho, my thoughts returned to his many efforts as described in the book We Were Soldiers Once...and Young that was one of many leadership-related books I read during my 30-year career. Thanks for the reminder.

This is the response I gave you in the OT, you have not stated the actual reason the thread was shut down, you want to make threats to the staff by way of our sponsors??

We truly appreciate the efforts/sacrifices all our men and women in the military make everyday, we truly appreciate your service AtkRWC, however we have rules just like the military, except this is a private forum and we move or remove posts as needed especailly when members are fighting, if you have any further issue to discuss feel free to PM me or Terry1955.

The first thread you mention was removed not for the post Leohd made, but for the fighting and childish behavior of grown men. Your post was not canned, but moved to OT because it does not belong in Touring.

If your thread or post is pulled by a Moderator/Admin do not start another thread or post on the same topic. Violation of this rule may cause immediate banning from HDForums. If you have a problem with a Moderator then you need to work it out with them via pm's, email or contact an Admin.
