if u dont find exacte fit for your helment call j&m directly the dealers dont carry all the new ones that are out Ihad to call them for my nolan n-com just a little trimming and it fit right inand yes they have a couple options for shorty helments.

The J&M headset to fit most all shorty-style helmets is J&M part# HS-ICD284-HHU-HO ,,,, with the #HC-PHD lower section cord to connect this headset to the 1998-2009 Harley audio systems ,,,,,,

Better Tunes
I too went through the HD blues when I first listened to the HD supplied headset. They are useless to say the least. I went to the JM series and an very pleased. I purchased the headset on Ebay for $128 with shipping and the lower cord to hook it up to my 09 Ultra was $39. Check out ebay and craigs list before you spend more than you have to.

Microphone inside helmet?
I have a Shoei modular helmet, and I want to have the microphone inside the helmet for my 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Do any of these J&M stes have the microphone inside the helmet?

this J&M headset uses a boom microphone, that remains in front of the wearers mouth, regardless of whether or not the flip-up section is up or down ,,,, (((see performance headset page at www.jmcorp.com ))) ,,,

i also have the j&m zumo 550 interface or what ever. the hd mic does not fit in the helmet with the wind sock and although i can hear the phone and directions i can not talk unless i slooooow waaaaayyy down.
the mic does work fine with the intercom
