Have a friend that just bought an 09 Road King and is looking to add a system to play his I-Pod. Any suggestions? Anyone purchased an aftermarket system for their RK? Anyone have pictures?
Thanks
I had the J&M old system with the stereo in the windshield bag and added xm on my ol RK, the amplified speakers work great for just a ipod, mount easily and look and sound great John from J&M is on the forum
The sound quality is just the best, they cut down wind and engine noise which can damage your hearing over time. I use them on the bike (they are great on a long ride) and at work, cuts out the noise of everyone else around me on the phone etc.
Sure make cheaper versions too if the price is off putting.
If he wants sound that he'll hear @ 80MPH then a good set of headphones with the Ipod in his pocket or a after-market fairing with a good sound system. Other then that the hang-on systems look like a after thought or they won't put out the volume heeded to hear the sounds at cruise speeds... (been there done that!)
No offense Socal ya must have had some cheap ones...The J&M sound good till about 70 mph with windshield on RK. beats earphones like the sure that state....Included sound isolating sleeves block over 90 percent of ambient noise. I personally like hearing a lil of whats going around me when riding JMHO
I have the www.cyclesounds.com 100 watt system on my RKC and it sounds great. Most people cannot believe how good the little bullet speakers sound and how much they put out. I can hear my tunes at 80mph with no problem.

I had the 2" Cyclesounds (aka 2-wheel tunes). They svcked! Amp blew after about 1 hour of play. Cyclsound would not back up their product by replacing it. I had to buy a new amp, just to sell the pos.
