Question Dallas TX Trip

Headed to Dallas next week for a little sun. This weather up here is killing me. I posted something similar to this a while back when I was buying tickets and I got some great feedback, but I'm sure some folks missed it. If you responded then, don't bother with re-posting, I've saved all your recommendations. Just wondering if there are any "must sees" while in the Dallas area? Food (especially BBQ), motorcycle related events, vendors, or Dealers, and general points of interest? Thanks in advance, all input appreciated.

I'll post more tomorrow as I'm going to bed, but don't miss "Stroker's".
It's Rick Fairless place/chopper shop. Big biker hangout.

It's your trip, but I'd suggest you keep on coming further south. Come on down to Texas Hill country. Ride 3 sisters and/or Devil's Backbone. Sorry if those were suggested previously, I didnt see your earlier post.

If you do decide to come further south, send me a PM. Love take a ride.

Galveston island's only 300 or so miles further down. alot warmer there. Dallas is alright but traffic is hell IMO. Look me up if you're coming through Kansas/oklahoma. I'm 80 miles north of tulsa.

I guess it's a matter of what this trip is for you...

Are you riding down with the intent on shopping?
Are you riding down with the intent on putting some miles on the bike?
Are you driving down and just looking for some biker related stuff to see/do?

Hey, thanks to all. Actually I'm flying down to Dallas, and I'm going to visit my son and his family. They are just now having a new baby. Might rent a bike while I'm there, but didn't do the fly and ride as I didn't want to be set on a particular date and then end up having to ride if it happened to rain on that date. I'll pick a nice couple of days if I ride, and just rent. Thanks again to all, but particularly to RocknRod for the great references....
