Shhhhhhhh. Ya'll need to keep quiet about cop bikes. No one needs to know about the ABS, 103, sexy wheels, hockey pucks, air ride seat, and the general lack of fru-fru shxx. Keep talking, then everyone will want one and they'll drive up the prices.
Since the death of the FLHT, the FLHTP (and the FLHRP) is the best bang for your buck of the HD fleet.
I know this thread has been vacant for a while but I have a question. I recently got my hands on an 08 FLHTPI and I love it! The dealership where the previous owner purchased it added cruise and a 2 up seat. As it is I really don't NEED to do anything to it, but... I'm curious about installing a radio. Is there a place where I can get some sort of schematics for the wiring to do the install? Can I pick out my own radio or do I need to get something special from HD in order to use the controls installed with the cruise?
Also, any guidance to remove all the useless wires that remain from when the bike was in service as a cop bike? I removed the LH side cover and discovered wires that seem to be empty plugs as well as possibly the radio cable from the service days.
Thanks for any help. I love these forums!
