Took two days to get it, talk about fast shipping!
I purchased the 8" dark smoke one and installed it as soon as it came in. I'm about 5'-11" with an HD Brawler seat. Took it for a ride and felt the difference immediately. Hardly any head movement compared to the 4" one I had on there. I still haven't taken it on the freeway yet. That is where the real test will be. I might be able to get away with a 6" because it seems like I look through it more than over. The top of the windshield is about even with the bottom of my nose.
The only thing is I really don't like the way my bike looks now. I might be putting the 4" back on, we'll see. I should be putting some miles on it today and I'll make sure to get on the freeway.
I have the 6" screen and I am 5'7". I notice wind buffering when using a bandlander seat while wearing half helmet (no helmet, no problem). I wish they made a 7"?

I did some reading about these shields before I bought and read about some people cutting them down. You probably could get an 8" and cut it down to a 7".
Jim at Fastaire is a stand-up guy. Good product and fast shipping.

I got my 6" this week just havent had a second to install it. The 8" has been working really well for me on the highway. I can't wait to see if the 6" works while looking better. I will take some pics tomorrow.
Jim is a very nice guy and sells a great product for the money.
The stock 4" on the FLHX put the wind right into my glasses and was very irritating.
I bought a 6" & an 8", I'm about 6'1" but mostly in the inseam... I've had the 8" on all winter and I've been completely satisfied. I did a little bit of testing with the 6" and I felt like it was just a hair short. I slouch when I ride but I've been working on my posture.
Sitting up straight the 8" is just right.
I think both of them look just fine, the 6" I prefer because its shorter but I think the 8" still follows the line of the bike nicely and isn't too obnoxious.
Got back from running some errands. I took the bike on the freeway and it did help with head movement, better than the 4" for sure. The ride was alot more pleasant without having to adjust my helmet all the time, especially on the freeway. I believe if I go with the 6", it will direct the air right into my face so I'll be staying with the 8".
I still don't like the way it looks with the taller shield. I'll probably keep the 4" on daily for around town riding and change it when I know I'll be traveling on the freeway. Either way, for $39.00 shipped to my door in two days, it can't be beat!
