Not a fan of covers either. Bad enough trying to get the heat out on the hot days as it is. Throwing another layer over the engine just makes it that much harder.
Good point. You need to balance cosmetic and functional
Kury makes some nice stuff no doubt and I've bought some where I could not get to chrome the original, at least quickly. My inner chrome from HD looks like it was mae for it " I think I'll do the right side next winter. Get rid of all those set screws that cover the stuff.... You cannot beat the HD inner chromed. IMO
Applkes and oranges. The HD one is the actual inner primary casing. Not a cover. That's why it is so much more. The Kury cover is what $99? I'd get the cover and save the dough. Or just pull the stock casing and have it chromed.
Have you sent anything out to get chromed lately ? WOW!!! with shipping and everything you'd probably have just as much in it as a new already chromed one.
I bought the Chromed Inner Primary itself. It looks so much better than just a cover! 100% chrome all the way around and absolutely looks so awesome from every angle!
